Workshop on Girls’ Talk
The beginning of menstruation is one of the most important milestones in a woman’s life. Often parents have a big question mark in front of them about how to explain it to their female child. Menstruation is surrounded by many myths, Do’s and Don’ts; for women. To create awareness about pubertal issues, menstrual process, menstrual hygiene etc. The Medical Department DPS- Bopal organized a workshop on Menstrual Hygiene on 19 April 2025 for girls of grade VI. Dr Hemali Desai – A well-known consultant and gynaecologist from Deetya Hospital was invited to address the girls. The session started with a discussion on the biological and physiological changes a girl undergoes during puberty. Every girl should be made aware of menarche which is an important event in adolescence. Maintaining good hygiene before and after menses will prevent future reproductive tract infections. Dr Hemali encouraged the girls to get into the habit of eating meals rich in calcium, iron and protein-rich food like milk, green leafy vegetables and fruits, as the body tends to change due to the hormonal effects. Later on, Dr. Desai talked about body image concerns, peer pressure and socio-emotional aspects of puberty.
Overall, the girls found the session informative and developed a positive attitude towards menstruation and menstrual practices.
The Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) workshop
The Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) workshop for Secondary-level English teachers was held on August 16 and 17, 2025, at DPS-Bopal, led by CBSE resource persons
Mr. Francis Fernandes, Principal of Asia School, and Ms. Arpita Chatterjee, PGT at Adani Vidya Mandir. This enriching two-day session marked a progressive shift from Traditional rote learning to a dynamic model centered on critical thinking, real-world relevance, and holistic student development. Mr. Fernandes and Ms. Chatterjee underscored the pivotal role of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) in CBA, highlighting how well-crafted questions can assess specific competencies—be it knowledge, skills, or applied abilities. Teachers explored strategies for creating meaningful MCQs that test comprehension, inference, and application.
The second day delved deeper into curating textual MCQs and mastering the blueprint of well-balanced question papers. Teachers were guided on designing questions that go beyond recall, targeting specific competencies such as analysis, interpretation, and applied knowledge. Teachers also engaged in an evaluative activity, gaining hands-on experience in assessment design. The workshop concluded on an energizing note, equipping educators with fresh pedagogical strategies and creative insights to reimagine English classrooms as dynamic spaces of exploration, connection, and competency-driven learning.

Dholakia(Special Educator), the interactive session empowered middle school teachers with strategies to cater to diverse learning needs. The session focused on equipping
educators with practical strategies to address diverse learning styles and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). The workshop highlighted the
importance of classroom accommodations, differentiated instruction, Universal Design Learning (UDL) and collaborative support for inclusiveness. This initiative marks a vital step towards building an inclusive and empathetic learning environment where every child is valued and supported.
National Education Policy (NEP) 2020
“Education is Liberation, knowledge is Power”. Delhi Public School-Bopal, Ahmedabad organized a dynamic and engaging workshop on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 on 28 February 2025 in the school auditorium. The workshop aimed to help educators understand the core principles of NEP 2020 and explore innovative ways to implement them in their classrooms. The session began with the welcome note and introduction of the eminent Resource Person Ms. Jigna Khoyani, Principal Narayana E–Techno School Ahmedabad and Mr. Gorachand Mishra, PGT Divine Child School, Mehsana.
The event was a blend of informative sessions and hands-on activities. Teachers participated in group discussions to explore various elements of NEP, such as foundational literacy, multi-disciplinary learning, and vocational education. Through activities like mapping NEP goals to school practices and role-playing inclusive teaching techniques, teachers learned how to adapt their methods to create a more inclusive and holistic learning environment. A practical session on integrating technology into teaching helped educators experience the potential of digital tools in enhancing learning. The workshop also included a Q&A session where participants interacted with experts to address queries related to the policy’s implementation.
The workshop was well-received by all participants, providing them with the knowledge and skills to incorporate NEP 2020’s vision into their teaching practices. It was an enriching experience, promoting collaboration and innovative thinking among educators for better student outcomes.

CBSE CBP Happy Classroom Training Workshop
A one-day Capacity Building Programme-CBSE workshop on ‘HAPPY CLASSROOM’ was conducted and facilitated by Mr. Bhagwandas Kotwani, Principal Suman Nirmal Minda School, Ahmedabad and Mr. Kapil Trivedi, Principal of Global Primary School, Himatnagar, Gujarat on 30 November 2024 at Delhi Public School-Bopal. It was attended by 58 teachers from various CBSE schools across Gujarat. The workshop commenced with a welcome speech setting the importance of the event.
The key points discussed included understanding emotional intelligence of teachers and learners, strategies for handling challenges in classroom situations as well as at the professional level, thus sharing the experiences and difficulties faced by teachers in classroom management. The objective of the workshop was to create happy classrooms where students could learn with ease and comfort. Different activities like STOP light, think-pair-share, story-telling, total physical response and poster making on challenges faced by teachers in classrooms and staffrooms were conducted. Basic classification on the concept of pleasure and well-being along with sharing personal views made the workshop lively and interactive. The session emphasized towards the analysis of the root causes of inappropriate behaviour among students followed by deliberation on its solution through group discussions. The different segments focused on developing self-awareness, self-regulation, understanding relationships and decoding behaviour. The session also covered the strategies and techniques that teachers can use to foster a positive learning environment where every student feels safe, valued and empowered, leading to improved engagement, academic achievement and overall well-being in the classroom.
The second session led towards mindfulness and developing an effective pastoral care programme, creating a warm, happy and safe classroom environment. Overall it was an enriching session, equipping teachers with valuable tools to cultivate a positive learning environment where students feel supported, motivated and eager to learn.
CBSE workshop on ‘HISTORY’
National Curriculum Framework-Foundational Stage
A teachers training session, on the National Curriculum Framework-Foundational Stage, was held for the on 6th July, 2024 at DPS Bopal. The objective of the training was to focus on the development of the skills of children at the foundational level through subject integration and activity-based learning with a special focus on their “Panchkosha Vikas”. The trainers, Ms. Dagli & Mr. Ranjana, were warmly welcomed by the principal, Ms. Sabina Sawhney.
After the ice-breaking session, the trainers provided the teachers with a comprehensive understanding of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) with a focus on integrating the “Panchkosha” concept into everyday teaching, transitioning from a teacher-centered approach to a child-centered approach and the use of mother tongue. The comprehensive training endowed teachers with the expertise to orchestrate engaging learning experiences and elevate skill acquisition for a holistic child development.
The active involvement of teachers in this transformative session underscored their commitment to continuous professional growth.
Barrier-Free Education and fostering inclusivity
A workshop for educators on Barrier-Free Education and fostering inclusivity was held on 1 July 2024. The resource person was Ms. Sangeeta Hinduja, Head of Prerna and the teachers of grades VI to X, attended the insightful session. They were briefed on the concept of an inclusive environment in education.
ETP session
The Effective Training Programs (ETP) session was held on 12th June 2024. The purpose of this training was to enhance participants’ skills in designing and delivering effective training programs that align with organisational goals and maximize learning outcomes.
Women’s Health
To raise awareness about health issues, menstrual irregularities, hormonal changes, menopause, etc., the Medical Department of DPS- Bopal organized a workshop for the female staff on Woman’s Health on 4 May 2024. Dr. Ravina Patel – A well-known consultant, a Gynaecologist from Mayflower Hospital was invited to address the attendees.
Open Mind and Closed Mind DHI-21 Session 1
A workshop on “Open Mind and Close Mind – Exploring Mindsets for Growth and Stagnation” was held on Online 23 & 24 April, 2024. The objective was to delve into the psychological concepts of open and closed mindsets, understand their impact on personal and professional development, and provide strategies for fostering an open mindset.
Understanding Guna DHI-21 Session 1
The workshop on “Understanding Guna” was held Online on at 10th April, 2024. This workshop aimed to explore the concept of “Guna” in various philosophical, psychological, and practical contexts. The term “Guna” originates from Sanskrit and is a key concept in Indian philosophy, particularly in Samkhya and Ayurveda, referring to the three fundamental qualities or tendencies present in all things.
CSR Activities
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Delhi Public School-Bopal goes beyond academics! We believe in instilling empathy and a sense of social responsibility in our students. Through various initiatives, we strive to make a positive impact on society and nurture compassionate individuals.
One of our significant CSR activities is “Ek Mutthi Anaaj”, where our students and staff contribute grains and essential food items. These donations are then distributed among underprivileged families and local NGOs, ensuring that nobody in our community goes hungry. “Pasti se Pustak” is another initiative that promotes education for all. Our students collect old and unused notebooks, textbooks, and stationery, refurbishing them for reuse. These recycled educational materials are then distributed among children from marginalized backgrounds, encouraging learning and sustainability. We also actively participate in “Daan Utsav”, a nationwide festival of giving. During this event, our school organizes various activities, such as clothing drives, book donations, and charity fundraisers. Through these efforts, our students learn the value of giving back to society and making a difference in the lives of others.

Interhouse competitions & activities
Delhi Public School-Bopal encourages strong and healthy competition through varied Interhouse competitions and activities. Our school is divided into six houses, each named after iconic rivers – Ganga, Kaveri, Mahi, Narmada, Sabarmati, and Tapti. Strokes
Strokes – The prestigious ‘Art Exhibition’ of the school is conducted every year and it gives an excellent opportunity to the budding artists to showcase their art work. The exhibition is usually held in February – March. It is open for the public to come and immerse themselves into the world of art. It depicts the perception of children’s imagination and creativity. The state of art one square foot canvas is an artistic creation bestowed by our promising enthusiasts from Prep to Class XI each year. Each year comes with a new theme and this gives the students a brilliant platform to broaden their horizons. It was an exceptional window for viewing the developing art of creativity and artistic skills in budding amateur.
