Foundational Stage Prep-II

Preparatory Stage : III-V

TEACHING AND LEARNING FRAMEWORK IN PRIMARY SECTION-PREPARATORY STAGE

We aspire to provide enjoyable and enriching experience to our students through our distinguished teaching learning process. Various teaching pedagogies like Experiential Learning, Cross Curricular approach, Art integrated Activities, CBE activities etc. are designed in accord with NEP 2020 to make learning experiential and happening.

We believe in developing multi linguistic and paralinguistic skills which help to build a robust linguistic foundation for beginners. To develop, nurture and foster Mathematical thinking, plethora of activities are carried out in the classrooms to enable students to appreciate the usefulness and beauty of Mathematics. We aim at providing the students with knowledge, attitudes and skills so that they are equipped to contribute meaningfully towards the betterment of the environment and accomplish the goals of sustainable development (SDG). Activities are designed to environment help the learners imbibe Indian ethos, connection with other subjects and their relevance to everyday life. We lay emphasis on learning through reflections, by doing hence the syllabi is embedded with project-based learning, songs, debates, roleplays, subject enrichment activities, research work etc.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Co-curricular activities are a fundamental part of our students’s; life and has played a significant role in their well-rounded development. These activities are mandatory and necessary for every student to participate. Co-curricular activities are structured and balanced with the scholastic educational / academic curriculum so that every student gets the opportunity to learn beyond academics.

These activities have aided to cement our student’s social & intellectual skills, moral, cultural & ethical values, personality and character advancement in students. It includes Sports, MLDM, Library activities, Lab activities, creative arts (Art & Craft), Club activities, House activities, Computer and so on. Various Inter School Competitions help develop creative skills, oratory skills, foster team spirit and mould the young Dipsites into confident and competitive individual.

Middle School : VI - VIII

At the middle school level, we as educators are entrusted with the humongous task of shaping a child’s personality – emotionally, physically, intellectually, spiritually as well as socially. The right guidance at this age determines their personality, therefore the role of the school is more of a facilitator and collaborator by imparting education through stimulating tasks, projects, assignments, training and hands-on experience.

Innovation and disruption is the key feature of classroom learning along with the focus on skill development. Each child is given the opportunity to hone his/her skill in Sports/ Dance & Music/Performing Arts. Educational trips, be it one-day excursions, industry visits, or outstation trips, not only give students an ‘on-site experience’ but also help them to be more aware, independent & responsible. An additional 3rd language is helpful in acquiring effective communication skills and understanding diverse cultures. Sanskrit, Gujarati, French & German are currently being offered to middle-school students, giving them ample choices.               

Vocational Skill Development is one of the factors which shaped the NEP. DPS- Bopal has played a leading role in this area by introducing various vocational skill subjects, namely, Artificial Intelligence, Mass Media, Travel & Tourism, Financial Literacy, Data Sciences and Coding. The introduction of these subjects at the middle-school level itself will go a long way in helping students decide on their long-term career goals in life.

Secondary School : IX-XII
