Games/Sports/HPE
Sports have the power to change, inspire and empower lives…!!!
Academic learning and sports education go hand in hand, forming two sides of the same coin. We often draw parallels between sports and life, introducing children to a healthy lifestyle through outdoor activities. Early involvement in sports acts as a foundation for potential athletes. Understanding that sports fosters teamwork, shared responsibilities, and common goals has fueled increased sports participation. Sportsmanship, a core value, equips kids with vital life skills. While not every child will become an Olympian, they will all encounter both success and setbacks, preparing them for life’s challenges.
At Delhi Public School- Bopal we believe that a well-rounded education includes not only academic excellence but also the holistic development of our students. The HPE Department plays a pivotal role in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and a positive attitude towards a healthy lifestyle.

Arts
At DPS-Bopal, our educational approach takes a holistic view that places great importance on the arts. Our school community is dedicated to nurturing creativity and fostering integration through various vibrant disciplines. These disciplines encompass different forms of art, including painting, craft, dance, vocal performance, instrumental music, and more. Through engaging with mediums like these, students have the opportunity to explore and express their own unique artistic voices.
Art integration in the curriculum empowers students to think creatively, fostering cognitive development and encouraging collaboration. This innovative approach aims to nurture creativity and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for various art forms.
Visual Arts
Today more than ever art is needed by our young people as a forum for safe expression, communication, exploration, imagination, and cultural and historical understanding. A strong arts education promotes the skills children need to be successful. Exposure to art education promotes self-directed learning and sharpens critical as well as creative skills.
Simple creative activities are some of the building blocks of child development. Learning to create and appreciate visual aesthetics may be more important than ever to the development of the next generation as they grow up. Drawing, sculpting with clay and threading beads on a string all develop visual-spatial skills.
Art Workshops
We at DPS- Bopal expand the scope of the classroom through workshops and interactive sessions by guest artists. These programs focus on the value of learning through original artworks. Participants explore the creative process, historical context and the nature of aesthetic experience.
Art Exhibitions
In a community as diverse as ours, the arts serve as an essential bridge across language and cultural differences. They become the shared link, the glue that shapes our understanding of how we see ourselves and one another. Exhibitions of student’s art work motivate them and also succeed in influencing the public’s understanding of art work made by children.
DPS- Bopal provides a unique learning experience through a wide selection of cultural activities. Taking part in activities provides an outlet for creativity and the possibility of moving outside one’s comfort zone in an enjoyable and structured environment.

SEWA
We believe in empowering our students by fostering a sense of social responsibility and equipping them with valuable life skills. The SEWA activities are designed to provide a unique opportunity for our students to engage in hands-on experiences that contribute to their personal growth and positively impact society.
Activities like “Magic of Millets” is one of our SEWA initiatives where students learn about the nutritional value and sustainable cultivation of millets. In our “Basic Needlework” activity, students develop essential sewing skills, empowering them to repair and create clothing and other fabric items. This fosters creativity and instills a sense of self-reliance and resourcefulness. The “Making of Paper Bags” activity promotes environmental consciousness by encouraging students to craft eco-friendly alternatives to plastic bags. Through this endeavour, our students actively contribute to reducing plastic waste and protecting the environment. In addition to these activities, we have an array of other SEWA initiatives that touch upon various aspects of social welfare and community engagement.
